HUBUNGAN PENYESUAIAN DIRI DENGAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL TEMAN SEBAYA

Abstract


The purpose of this study is to explain the relation between peer social support and self-adjustment. With a population of 540 students, this study uses a quantitative methodology and a descriptive correlational model. The sampling technique used stratified random sampling so that a sample of 230 respondents was obtained. Testing the validity using Pearson Product Moment and reliability using Cronbach's Alpha which obtained results of 0.534 for self-adjustment and 0.789 for peer social support so that it can be declared reliable. Using product moment correlation, analyze the data. With a value of 0.594 and a significance level of 0.000, the data analysis revealed a significant positive relationship between self-adjustment and peer social support.This finding proves that the higher the adjustment, the higher the peer social support. To respond to the research results, it is necessary to have a strategic and maximum role for guidance and counseling teachers in schools.
