Pengaruh Ekstrak Kulit Bawang Merah (Allium cepa L.) terhadap Pertumbuhan Vegetatif Tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill.)

Abstract


Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak kulit bawang merah (Allium cepa L.) terhadap pertumbuhan vegetatif tanaman tomat (Lycopersicon esculentum Mill). Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan enam perlakuan konsentrasi ekstrak (0%, 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, dan 25%). Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, panjang akar, berat segar, dan berat kering tanaman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perlakuan dengan konsentrasi 25% (P5) memberikan hasil tertinggi secara signifikan pada semua parameter pertumbuhan vegetatif. Kandungan senyawa bioaktif seperti fenolik, flavonoid, dan quercetin dalam ekstrak kulit bawang merah diduga berperan dalam merangsang pertumbuhan dan perkembangan tanaman. Penelitian ini menunjukkan potensi limbah organik kulit bawang merah sebagai biofertilizer ramah lingkungan untuk mendukung pertanian berkelanjutan.
