Analisa Penerapan Facial Emotion Recognition pada Sistem E-Learning

Abstract


Pasca pandemi COVID-19, sistem e-learning sudah menyebar luas, banyak perguruan tinggi yang menerapkan sistem e-learning tidak lagi hanya di masa pandemi tetapi juga akan terus digunakan di masa mendatang. Meskipun e-learning memiliki beberapa keunggulan dalam hal aksesibilitas informasi, fleksibilitas waktu dan tempat dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran formal, namun tidak memberikan emosi interaksi tatap muka yang cukup antara pendidik dan peserta didik. Oleh karena itu facial emotion recognition telah diidentifikasi sebagai alat yang efektif untuk memberikan pengalaman respon afektif belajar pada peserta didik. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini mentelaah penggunaan facial emotion recognition yang diekspresikan oleh pembelajar untuk menginterpretasikan suasana emosi belajar mereka dalam sesi e-learning dan tingkat akurasi interpretasinya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode tinjauan pustaka untuk menunjukkan facial emotion recognition dapat diterapkan di dunia nyata untuk memetakan suasana emosi siswa terhadap kegiatan belajarnya, serta memberikan informasi untuk meningkatkan platform e-learning saat ini dan juga sebagai referensi bagi pendidik untuk membuat pembelajaran formal yang bersusana lebih interaktif.
