Jurnal Trias Politika is committed to upholding the highest standards of academic integrity and publication ethics. We take all allegations of research misconduct seriously. This policy outlines the definition of misconduct, the procedure for reporting allegations, and the steps the journal will take to investigate and resolve them, in strict accordance with the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) guidelines.
Research misconduct includes, but is not limited to, the following practices:
- Fabrication: Making up data or results and recording or reporting them.
- Falsification: Manipulating research materials, equipment, or processes, or changing or omitting data or results such that the research is not accurately represented.
- Plagiarism: The appropriation of another person's ideas, processes, results, or words without giving appropriate credit.
- Duplicate Submission/Publication: Submitting or publishing the same manuscript in more than one journal.
- Authorship Violations: Ghost, gift, or guest authorship (see our Authorship Criteria).
- Ethical Violations: Failure to obtain informed consent or ethical approval for human subjects research.
If you suspect that a manuscript submitted to or published in Jurnal Trias Politika involves research misconduct, please report it immediately to the Editor-in-Chief.
- Email: Send your report to [Masukkan Email Resmi Jurnal Anda] with the subject line "Allegation of Research Misconduct".
- Required Information: Please provide the article title, DOI (if published), and a detailed explanation of the alleged misconduct, along with any supporting evidence (e.g., screenshots, links to original sources).
- Confidentiality: All reports will be treated with strict confidentiality. The identity of the whistleblower will not be disclosed without their explicit consent.
Upon receiving an allegation, the Editorial Board will follow this procedure:
- Initial Assessment: The Editor-in-Chief will conduct a preliminary review to determine if the allegation has merit and falls within the scope of research misconduct.
- Notification: If the allegation is deemed valid, the corresponding author will be notified in writing and given the opportunity to respond to the claims.
- Full Investigation: The journal may consult with relevant experts, the authors' institutions, or the COPE Forum to conduct a thorough investigation.
- Decision: Based on the evidence, the editorial board will make a final decision. Authors have the right to appeal the decision by providing new evidence.
If research misconduct is confirmed, the journal will take appropriate action. These actions include:
- Immediate rejection of the manuscript (if still under review).
- Notification to the authors' institutional authorities or funding agencies.
- A temporary or permanent ban on future submissions from the involved authors.
- Formal Editorial Actions: For the formal correction, retraction, or withdrawal of the published article, the journal strictly follows our Retraction, Withdrawal, and Correction (R-W-C) Policy.
Jurnal Trias Politika strictly prohibits any form of retaliation against individuals who report allegations of research misconduct in good faith. Malicious or knowingly false allegations will be considered a serious breach of ethical conduct and may result in sanctions against the accuser.
This policy is based on the COPE Core Practices and the COPE Guidelines on Research Misconduct. For more detailed information, authors and readers are encouraged to visit the COPE website.
