Author Fees

Article Processing Charge (APC)

Jurnal Trias Politika is an open-access journal. All published articles are freely available online to read, download, and share. To cover the costs of editorial management, peer review coordination, production, and dissemination, the journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC). This charge is applied only to manuscripts that have been accepted for publication after a rigorous peer-review process.

1. APC Amount

The APC for each accepted article is 750.000.00 IDR.
This is a one-time charge per article. No other fees (such as submission fees, page charges, or color printing fees) are applied.

2. When Is the APC Charged?

  • No fee is charged at submission.

  • No fee is charged during peer review.

  • The APC is invoiced only after the manuscript has been formally accepted for publication.

3. What Does the APC Cover?

The APC supports the following activities and services:

  • Editorial and administrative handling of the manuscript.

  • Coordination of the peer-review process.

  • Maintenance of the journal’s online platform (Open Journal Systems).

  • Assignment of a permanent Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to each article.

  • Layout and formatting according to the journal’s template.

  • Online publication and indexing in relevant databases.

4. Payment Procedure

  • After acceptance, the corresponding author will receive an official invoice containing the payment details.

  • Payment must be made via bank transfer to the official account of the publisher (Universitas Riau Kepulauan) or through a designated online payment platform.

  • The invoice will include the article title, author name(s), and manuscript ID.

5. No Waiver or Discount Policy

Jurnal Trias Politika does not offer any waiver, discount, or reduction of the APC.
All accepted articles are subject to the same APC, regardless of the author’s affiliation, country of origin, or financial situation. By submitting a manuscript, authors acknowledge and accept this policy.

6. Refund Policy

The APC is non-refundable. Once an article has been accepted, invoiced, and paid, no refund will be issued, including in cases where the author later withdraws the manuscript or the article is subsequently retracted for ethical reasons.

7. Editorial Independence

The journal maintains a strict separation between financial matters and editorial decisions.

  • Editors and reviewers are not informed about the payment status or any financial arrangements of the authors.

  • The decision to accept or reject a manuscript is based solely on academic merit, as determined by the peer-review process.

  • Payment of the APC does not guarantee acceptance, nor does it influence the editorial outcome.

8. Transparency and Accountability

All information regarding the APC, payment procedures, and the journal’s open-access model is published openly on this page.
The funds collected through the APC are managed transparently by the journal’s editorial team and are used exclusively for the operational and developmental needs of the journal, as outlined in Section 3.
